You were never meant to do this alone.
Somewhere along the way, we lost the village. The one where neighbors showed up with food, where someone more experienced sat beside you and said I've been there, here's what helped, where parenthood felt less like something you had to survive and more like something you could actually enjoy. That's what we're building here — and you're invited.
The Valley Family Collective is a community space in Sherman Oaks — a collaboration between me and some of my favorite birthworkers — designed for families in the thick of it. Our main focus is pregnancy and the early years of raising children, but our community spans all of life's big transitions, from puberty to menopause and everything in between. It's a place to learn, to connect, to breathe, and to remember that the people around you are figuring it out too.
We offer a growing calendar of classes and events including infant CPR, mommy-and-me yoga, baby and toddler music classes, movie screenings, support groups, and a rotating lineup of fun and educational events — because navigating life's transitions is serious work, and you deserve a space that takes both the hard parts and the joyful parts seriously.
This is the village we were all promised. Come find yours.
A weekly gathering for moms to come as they are — tired, touched out, thriving, or somewhere in between. No agenda - practice getting out of the house with your baby and meet the friends that will keep you sane at 2am in the hard months ahead, the ones you will invite to your baby's first birthday, and the ones you will one day realize made your motherhood.
Whether you're navigating the newborn fog, the identity shift of new motherhood, or just need a room full of people who actually get it — this group is for you. We also have an online community to keep in touch with your new besties.
We recommend signing up so you receive updates. You can always just show up.
Dads need a village too. Dad Space meets on weeknight and one weekend morning a month to connect, talk honestly about the realities of parenthood, and find community with other dads who are in it right alongside them.
Fatherhood comes with its own questions, pressures, and moments that are hard to put into words — especially without a space to voice them. This group exists to change that. Come for the conversation, stay for the connection.
Led by Jason Henry, a Marriage and Family Therapist-in-training, Postpartum Support International Dad Group facilitator, and dad of three.
